Doreen is a junior at American Heritage with a growing passion for not only medicine, but also business. Before considering a career in healthcare, she originally wanted to become a bank teller or accountant after her experience at JA BizTown in 5th grade. This later changed as she developed an interest in the human body and the complexities of healthcare, prompting her desire to open her own clinic. Her hobbies include listening to music, playing video games, and crocheting cute stuffed animals. She looks forward to sharing her interests and passion in medicine with other students through her articles!
In her free time, Doreen enjoys cooking and baking various dishes and desserts. She will often wake up, laying in bed just scrolling through recipes on Tiktok, Instagram, and Youtube. This dish on the right is her family's version of Mapo Tofu, a well-known Chinese dish. It consists of tofu (obviously), century old egg, shredded pork, and green onions.
Doreen's favorite thing to do is spending quality time with her friends, whether that means having meaningful conversations, or enjoying simple, joyful moments together. She values these friendships and moments of connection that turn her ordinary life into cherished memories.
