Ferrin is a junior at american heritage who loves law, politics, public policy, and mock trial. She doesn’t know too much about the ins and outs of anatomy, but she does know legislation and is excited to write about bioethics and how medicine and public health intersects with law, public policy, philosophy, and other social sciences. Ferrin would like to work in law when she’s older, potentially opening up her own law firm or even becoming a Supreme Court Justice in the future (she recognizes that this may be a bit delusional but never say never). Above all, Ferrin is motivated to t try and make the world a better place, one thing that law and medicine share with each other. While doctors make the world a better place through science, lawyers make the world a better place through advocacy and policy!
Ferrin Besong, an avid editor and writer for MedisQ, is more than just a wordsmith – she’s an advocate for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) inclusivity. Here, Ferrin photographs her involvement with Building Blocks club! Read more.
